I've had the privilege to carve two African Grey parrots in recent years. Each a different subspecies. One a Timneh and the other a Congo. Both were commissioned to honor beloved pets. The Timneh was carved at 1.5 times life-size and clutching a peanut. The Congo has tail feathers from the pet inserted under the tail. And the pigeon was a childhood pet.
